‘Tis the season for all things weddings! In the wedding industry, we joke and say “don’t say the ‘O’ word”.” O being October.
Traditionally speaking, October has proven itself to be one the absolute busiest seasons of the years for wedding professionals. The weather is perfect. The foliage in Virginia and within the surrounding DMV is out of this world, and the combination of those two things makes for the best time of year.
Falleluja!
This year’s coronavirus, however, caused a pause earlier on in the year. Would weddings happen? Could we all celebrate safely? What would weddings and events look like in the midst of a pandemic?
Well, friends, I’m happy to report that love never fails! Pandemic or not, couples are plowing forward with their (modified) plans. Celebrations continue to happen in safe fashions all over the District and, quite honestly, I couldn’t be more thrilled to keep doing what I love day in and day out.
This couple, Liz and Adam, planned for a true elopement— just the two of them, an officiant, and an extraordinary photographer to capture it all. Love was enough for them, and that’s what we loved about them. But in true ACW fashion, we wanted to figure out a way to help them enhance their already perfect plans. So, what did we do?
We brought in the help of a talented floral designer, Katie Ranger Design, and went to work! The end result was simple, perfectly fall, and honored their original wishes all in one.
What more could you ask for?
Feast your eyes, friends!
Are you ready to see the moment right before they saw their surprise floral arch? Their reaction was so perfectly them! We were so happy to be able to watch the smiles unfold on their faces.
