When couples find you and you realize you have so many layers of “in real life” connections…you know it’s going to be good!

The mother of the bride (also their florist) was a vendor I worked with in my beginning planning days in Richmond, Virginia. Baby Angelica was a fresh 20 year old branching out into the world of weddings and her company, Flowerama, was one of the first florists I worked with as a wedding planning intern.

Fast forward eight years, 3 companies, 2 different cities, and countless friendships formed in between and we met again byway of her daughters wedding! For this, and our continually growing labyrinth of strange connections, Mia, Hunter, and I immediately got along.

A tented outdoor summer party was exactly what they wanted for their wedding. Their priorities were good food, a good time, and LOTS of dancing. (Still to date I’ve never seen a better dancing crowd!)

But with a summer wedding comes the chance of summer storms. Were were hit with one? Yes. Were we hit with two? Sure were. Did we have 1.5 hours to change locations, reset tables and chairs, and start the ceremony on time? YES!

You’d never be able to tell from these gorgeous Dele Rockson photos, but this was not their Plan A. But I have to say, when you’re properly prepared and ready for a Plan B…it sure does look good.

Their vendors rallied together at the final hour and showed up for Mia and Hunter to give them the wedding of their dreams like I knew they would.

June 24, 2018 was, and will always be, a day to remember. Mia and Hunter celebrated their wedding overlooking The Market at Grelen’s beautiful Berry Lawn and I celebrated my 28th year of life. We’ll share this day together forever and I couldn’t image a better couple to coexist with in June 24th bliss.
