What could be better than a summer vineyard wedding?
Stone Tower Winery continues to prove itself to be one of the best countryside wedding venues in Virginia. Aside from its sweeping views, their wines are divine, and their staff just so humbly hospitable. It’s a combination that the Angelica & Co. Weddings team can’t seem to get enough of. We love when our couples chose to say their “I do’s” at Stone Tower!
Alison and Dylan were one of those couples, and we thanked them for it. They had set their date for July 17, 2021. With only their venue and date selected, they knew they needed a lot of creative direction, styling, and proper planning to help bring their wedding dreams to life. Cue the ACW team!
As all of our projects start out, we created a game plan to help propel us forward. For us, that means we dive deep into creating one fantastic visual design. That design was filled with lush greenery, rich summer jewel tones, and soft pinks to help balance it all together. Having hired me for Full Planning, they really let me roll with my ideas and trusted in me to help support their vision every step of the way.
That’s when the magic happens, friends.
There was a lot fo movement on their wedding day—arguably more than our “average” couple tends to take on. Their day started with the usual suspects— getting ready, hair and makeup, breakfast with the boys, etc. From there, two things needed to happen before their ceremony took place. Alison and Dylan really wanted a first look; the moment where just the two of them could soak each other in before the sea of people arrived to celebrate them.
Fun Fact: We are very pro first look here at Angelica & Co. Weddings! First looks allow for our couples to maximize their time together. Those few hours before our couples ceremonies are the quieter moments before time seems to speed up and slow down all at once. Having time to take photos with your partner and any wedding party and/or families you’ll have there before your ceremony reduces the amount of photos you’ll need to take after your ceremony. That lets you get back to your party and your people faster!
After that, it was very important that they had an intimate vow exchange with just their immediate family and wedding parties present. Sarah Pete with Sincerely Pete was the most obvious choice for their vow exchange. Her calming yet energetic nature and ability to make anyone feel like family made our decision to have her help with their nutupuals a no-brainer.
Of course, no celebration is complete without a little bubbly and bottles popped!
To welcome guests, we greeted them with some sparkling wine (as you do). We enlisted the help of Patricia with Oh Eleven Studio to create a very on-brand welcome sign with custom hand lettering. Her stationery and paper pieces absolutely never disappoint!
At Stone Tower, you two location choices to host your ceremony outdoors. Alison and Dylan chose their Hillside ceremony spot, which gave them unobstructed views of gorgeous blue ridge mountains. With the creative talents of Kory with Springvale Floral, their ceremony design was so, so divine.
The final stretch of the evening was dinner and dancing inside of the ballroom. We transformed their space with an abundance of florals, beautifully textured linens, and delicate tabletop details. All of their details helped create the most stunning romantically modern summer vineyard wedding for them.
You all know I’m biased, but I’ve gotta give myself a pat on the back for this one!
To all of the talent behind their creative team, we thank you endlessly for your support, guidance, and abilities to put together one hell of a wedding for Alison and Dylan.
Cheers!
