In the midst of a busy wedding season, I somehow always find room to squeeze a little extra creativity and passion out of me!
Styled shoots are something I hold near and dear to my heart. They’re a way that wedding and event professionals are able to (sometimes for the first time) meet, share, and creatively grow together. They allow for each person who is contributing to showcase exactly what they want to and (if you’re lucky) have it featured for the world to see!
One venue, one dress, one design, and a dream is all it takes.
Sometimes when I approach styled shoots, I search for vendors who fit the mold of a certain aesthetic I’m trying to create. For this one, it was quite the opposite— I found the vendors and built the dream from there.
The Manor at Airmont is a new Loudoun County venue that opened their doors to weddings just last year. When I first visited the property, I was immediately captivated by the beauty of its exterior. But what really made my heart sing was the beauty of its interior. Walking through the venues French front doors, my breath was immediate taken away by the exposed wooden beams on the ceiling. Right then and there I knew I’d focus my attention on that one seemingly minor detail.
The rest, as they say, was history…
