It’s with inexplicable joy that we get to relive the heart warming magic of Emma & Steveo’s intimate ceremony and bespoke celebration at Lincoln’s Cottage on that brisk November day!
Among the myriad of details making their celebration unique and reflective of their personalities, were the super cozy sweats Emma gifted her girls! The ladies sported their loungewear while enjoying getting all glammed up with Tamar C Makeup at The Line Hotel – one of the Angelica & Co. Weddings team’s all-time favorite locales!
Fun Fact: Emma was college roommates with the lovely & talented photographer, Maddy Mallory
Maddy and Angelica & Co. were a professional match made in heaven! It was so much fun working together, designing, creating and documenting all of the moments that Emma & Steveo would treasure forever!
The bridesmaids dresses were super dreamy!
Many wonderful traditions and customs came together for Emma & Steveo’s Jewish wedding ceremony. The signing of the ketubah is an important ritual symbolizing the beauty of the relationship between a husband and a wife, creating a meaningful link between the past, present and their future life together.
Did You Know?
Emma & Steveo’s gorgeous ketubah was signed on the same desk that President Lincoln signed the emancipation proclamation!
Creating a twist on Lincoln Cottage’s traditional ceremony location, we angled the chairs to be centered with the beautiful magnolia tree, which combined with the stunning floral arrangements by Cedar and Lime Co., allowed to us to achieve the “English Garden” vibes Emma & Steveo envisioned. These high school sweethearts were united by the Rabbi Candee Martin beneath a beautiful wooden chuppah adorned with lush eucalyptus garland and creamy floral blooms. Their ceremony ended with the famous BANG! as Emma stomped the glass and the celebration began!
“Mazel tov!”
The newlyweds made a grand exit as they passed through the Marine Corps Arch of Swords, a long standing Military wedding tradition. Emma & Steveo walked hand in hand through two rows of service members with their ceremonial swords raised in the air. As they neared the end, the last two Marines lowered their swords and blocked their path. A service member called out “the price for admission is a kiss!” As Emma leaned in for the kiss, the swords were raised with joyful shouts and celebrations, welcoming Emma to the Marine Corps family!
We expanded upon the English Garden inspiration throughout cocktail hour and into their reception with a clear top tent on the lawn overlooking the Visitor’s Center. Guest tables featured two distinct looks accentuating Cedar and Lime Co.’s gorgeous centerpieces with rich textured linens from Select Events, intentionally soft, minimal and elegant. Emma had an affinity for period pieces, so with the help of Pretty Little Wedding Co. a specialty rental company, we selected unique furnishings & soft seating arrangements drawing influence from Pride and Prejudice, one of her all time favorites!
In honor of Emma’s late father, we carefully laid his leather jacket and Red Sox hat on a chair in the front row. Her dad kept a beautiful dahlia garden and white dahlia’s were his favorite. We had one loose white dahlia in Emma’s bouquet for her to place on his chair in honor and memory of him.
