Winter weddings are becoming one of my all time favorite “end of season” treats! There’s just something about the colder winter air that makes a day of celebrating all things love even more magical.
Maggie and Trey got married on December 28, 2019 at the forever-beautiful InterContinental Hotel Washington D.C.- The Wharf. Having met on New Years Eve, they were certain that having a date as close to it as possible was it for them. So, that Saturday after Christmas, together with all of their closest friends and family…we celebrated!
Simplicity and elegance were two very important things for them. They wanted to have a formal, black-tie affair, while ensuring that their guests were comfortable and well taken care of.
Lucky for them…that’s my specialty!
With their venue consisting primarily of whites and golds, it was important for us to bring life into the space byway of florals. Kory with Springvale Floral Design was absolutely key for us in creating everything from their free-form “floating” ceremony installation of fresh greenery to their monochromatic, organically inspired centerpieces in beautiful textured footed vases. All together, they were the perfect finishing touches we needed to help create a homey environment for a fun and elegant, yet inviting atmosphere.
We’re so thankful they chose us to help bring their wedding day to life. Every moment was simply amazing and I’m thankful to be walking away from their magical day with an awesome new set of friends!
Cheers, ya’ll. We did it!
