When the universe connects you with people in ways you never imaged, don’t question it— just go with the flow!
As it turned out, that is exactly what happened between this lovely bride and I! She was referred to me by a mutual friend, Robert of Robert Radifera Photography. Robert and I go way back to my days working as a venue coordinator in Charlottesville. When he found out I was off planning on my own, he sent Kelly my way and told her she’d be in the absolute best of hands.
Spoiler alert— he was right!
Kelly and I hit if off immediately. When talking through my planning packages to see which one would make the best fit, we even found out I had planned one of her friends weddings years back! It is such a small world.
Her and her fiance Justin were getting married at a gorgeous church right in Washington, DC. The two said their I do’s early on in the afternoon, then made their way to a few of their favorite DC locations before their cocktail hour and reception began! With them being forever Nats fans, they (of course) made one of their stops to the Nationals Stadium! (That was BEFORE they won the world series, but I am 100% confident this photo will now be one of their most cherished photos from their wedding weekend!)
After a few opportune photo-ops, they ventured to their reception venue, District Winery, a property in one of DC’s newly built up areas, Navy Yard. Getting married in the fall, they chose deep purple accents to sprinkle throughout their days design. Their deep purples paired with lush greens and whites created the perfect color scheme for their October wedding day!
Kelly and Justin— thank you for letting the ACW team be a part of this with you. We love you!!
